Roof Panels with a Standing Seam

The edge finish option with cut edges allows for assembly on the start strip. The edges are cut on two sides of the panel, enabling you to rotate the panel based on the assembly direction. The PD510 Nano panel is available only with cut edges.

Installation

Roof panels with seams should be installed at positive temperatures. Protective foil is applied to safeguard the roof panels from mechanical damage. It should be removed immediately during the assembly process and it should protect the panels from humidity and sun exposure during the storage period. Not following these guidelines may make it difficult to remove the foil later and can lead to dirt accumulation from the adhesive.

Maintenance

Generally, roofs consisting of standing seam panels do not require special maintenance. However, to prevent rapid damage to the building, it is essential to inspect and maintain both wall and roof coverings at least once a year, regardless of their location. Any deposits or industrial dust (such as from lime plants, cement, foundries, and mines) that could damage the varnish due to chemical reactions with water, as well as leaves that can cause fading through rotting, should be removed from the panel surface. Any deficiencies in the coating should be cleaned and repainted using specialized touch-up paints.

1. Use special electric vibrating scissors, irregular nibblers, or hand scissors to cut sheets. Do not use tools that can damage the varnish and galvanized coating, such as angle grinders, which produce heat when cutting steel.
2. You may walk on the roof wearing shoes with soft soles, taking care to step on the bottoms of the waves or on patches. Ensure that all screws are tightened before walking on the roof.
3. Small damages to the coating from assembly can be touched up with paint. Ensure the surface is cleaned of dirt and oil before applying.
4. Remove steel chips from cutting or drilling with a soft brush, as rust from these chips can damage the steel surface.
5. Dirt resulting from assembly work or regular use should be cleaned using standard cleaning agents.
6. The use of any steel treatments (including chimney caps, rainwater cleaners, etc.) made from copper sheets on roofs and elevations comprising galvanized and coated sheets is prohibited.
