Wall Log Profiles

44mm Single Wall Log Profile

44mm single wall profile

The 44mm log profile strikes the perfect balance between structural integrity, insulation value, and investment. This thickness provides substantial thermal mass for natural temperature buffering while maintaining cost-effectiveness for quality construction.

Performance Features:

• Double tongue-and-groove interlocking for superior weatherproofing
• Thermal mass effect – absorbs, stores, and releases heat naturally
• 60% more timber mass than 28mm for enhanced stability
• Comfortable use 9+ months annually in moderate climates
• Better sound insulation from increased density

Ideal For: Garden offices, studios, seasonal retreats, entertainment spaces, and structures where balance between cost and year-round comfort is essential.

70mm Single Wall Log Profile

70mm Single Wall Log Profile

The 70mm profile represents premium log construction, offering exceptional strength and insulation for demanding applications. This substantial thickness delivers superior thermal performance and minimal settling, ideal for year-round intensive use.

Performance Features:

• Significantly enhanced insulation and structural capacity
• Withstands heavier loads and extreme weather conditions
• Natural thermal mass reduces heating/cooling by 25-40%
• Minimal maintenance with exceptional longevity
• Supports multi-story designs and larger architectural openings

Ideal For: Year-round residences, luxury garden rooms, harsh climate regions, sedentary office work, and structures requiring maximum durability.

44mm Twin Wall System

Twin Wall System

Our dual-layer log construction features an insulated cavity between the inner and outer log walls, providing exceptional thermal performance and weather protection. This innovative twin wall design combines two 44mm log layers with an insulated cavity, achieving thermal efficiency that outperforms traditional single 70mm walls while preserving the authentic appearance of logs.

Performance Features:

• Double log construction with 50-200mm insulation options
• Superior U-values compared to single-wall alternatives
• Creates thermal break eliminating cold bridging
• Integrated moisture management system
• Maintains log cabin character inside and out
• Weather-resistant dual barrier system

Ideal For: Extreme climates, energy-conscious builds, properties requiring maximum insulation, and where long-term energy savings justify initial investment.

44mm + Wooden Cladding

Horizontal Wooden Cladding

Premium 44mm log walls paired with 19mm horizontal timber cladding, 100mm insulation, and weatherproof membrane. Delivers exceptional thermal performance and classic cabin aesthetics while maximizing energy efficiency and durability. Perfect for those seeking traditional log cabin beauty with modern comfort.

Vertical

Vertical Wooden Cladding

Contemporary 44mm log walls featuring vertical timber cladding for a sleek, modern look. Same high-performance 100mm insulation and 19mm cladding as horizontal, but with striking vertical lines that enhance visual height. Ideal for modern log cabins that blend rustic charm with architectural sophistication.

Board on Board

Board on board Wooden Cladding

Distinctive 44mm log walls with overlapping board-on-board cladding create exceptional weather protection and visual depth. The layered 19mm timber boards provide superior moisture resistance while maintaining the same premium insulation standards. Best choice for extreme weather locations without sacrificing style.

44mm + Fiber Cement Cladding

Horizontal Cedral cladding

Horizontal Cement Cedral cladding

Revolutionary 44mm log walls combined with fiber cement Cedral cladding – the superior alternative to traditional timber. Delivers authentic wood grain beauty with 30-60+ year lifespan, fire safety ratings, and pest resistance.

Requires only simple hosing for maintenance while colors stay vibrant without repainting.

Floor boards

Floor boards

All of our log houses and log cabins include wooden tongue-and-groove (T&G) floorboards that create the interior walking surface.

The standard option is 19mm thick boards laid perpendicular to the floor joists for stability and comfort. However, you have the flexibility to choose thicker 28mm floorboards for enhanced durability and insulation, or completely opt out of wooden floors if you prefer alternative flooring solutions.

These T&G boards fit together seamlessly with detailed assembly instructions included.

Roof boards

Roof boards

The 19mm thick wooden sheathing that forms the base layer of the roof structure. These boards are attached to the rafters and provide the surface for weatherproofing materials like shingles or metal roofing.

You can choose our double roof option for enhanced performance – for any purpose beyond simple storage, such as a home office, gym, or hobby room, an insulated double roof system is essential for a log cabin. This approach creates an integrated, energy-efficient roof that will keep your cabin warm in winter and cool in summer.

Others

Foundation beams

Pressure-treated timber supports that form the critical base frame of the cabin, distributing the structure’s weight evenly and elevating it above ground level for ventilation and moisture protection. A properly prepared foundation ensures easy log wall assembly, proper door/window operation, and long-term structural integrity.

Foundation beams

Columns

Vertical support posts that bear structural loads, often used to support roof overhangs, porches, or terraces. In case required, columns are available in 135x70mm or 110x110mm dimensions, with the size depending on your cabin’s specifications and structural requirements. They transfer weight from the roof down to the foundation, ensuring stability for extended roof areas.

Columns

Fascia boards

The trim boards that run along the lower edge of the roof, covering the ends of the rafters. They provide a finished appearance and help protect the roof structure from weather.

Fascia boards

Roof rafters

The angled structural beams that extend from the ridge of the roof down to the walls, forming the roof’s framework and supporting the roof boards and roofing materials.

Terrace floor

The outdoor decking surface available in 19mm standard or 28mm thickness options. These untreated wooden boards are supplied without tongue-and-groove connections for easier outdoor installation. Important: terrace floor boards are not pressure-treated and will require customer-applied treatment for weather protection and longevity when used in outdoor applications.
